We are absolutely delighted to welcome Pete Ritchie as the speaker at the second of our Big Tables, on Thursday 28th March.
Pete has a background in community development and social policy and is executive director of Nourish- a charitable organisation campaigning for better laws and policies around food and farming in Scotland. Nourish have been at the heart of campaigning around Scotland’s Good Food Nation Bill as well as numerous other projects and campaigns.
Pete is passionate, engaging and extremely knowledgeable about the food system as a whole. As well as working at Nourish, Pete runs Whitmuir Organics in the Scottish Borders, a 54-hectare mixed upland farm. As a livestock farmer and vegetarian, Pete offers his own unique take on the engaging subject of a sustainable diet.
