Last week we organised the culmination of another succesful food truck project, this time with the fantastic young people at Gracemount High School.

Our food truck project takes young people in Edinburgh through a six week food and cooking workshop. Under the guidance of our Food and Beverage Manager Steve Brown, our students learn about seasonality, how their food is grown, and how to plan a healthy, balanced diet, along with all the skills necessary to be confident cooks in the kitchen.

Finally, the kids plan and prepared a fantastic seasonal meal to serve for free to the local community. This time, it was a selection of a healthy veggie curry or lean chicken wraps, with a little treat of raspberry brownies for dessert.

It was a great turnout, and there was a ton of enthusiasm from our young chefs. We’re looking forward to working with Gracemount High School again, and by all accounts, they’re looking forward to it too!
