Young Foodies: October Holiday Club

£250.00

Join us for food-filled adventure this autumn! Our 3-day cookery course (with the young people cooking and serving a community meal on the final day) runs from 11am–3pm on the 12th, 13th and 14th of October, offering young people aged 12 and up the chance to cook, learn, and eat together.

Each day includes lunch, snacks, and treats to take home — all made by the group. We’ll explore everything from baking and home-style cooking to knife skills, ingredient knowledge, and sustainable kitchen practices. On the final day, the group will put their new skills into action by preparing and serving a community lunch for local residents.

Every session is shaped by the interests of the young cooks and the ingredients we have available, often donated from local suppliers — making every day unique!

Whether your child is new to the kitchen or already loves to cook, this is a fun, supportive space to build essential life skills while learning where our food comes from.

Free for young people with a Craigmillar/Niddrie postcode.

£250 (full course) for those outside the area – this helps fund spots for young people who would be otherwise unable to join.
