Eggcellent Eggs is a hands-on cooking workshop celebrating one of the most versatile (and affordable) ingredients in the kitchen. Join us to build confidence with eggs, learn reliable techniques, and discover just how far this everyday staple can take you.

Led by our experienced chefs, this relaxed and interactive session will guide you from simple foundations to more adventurous egg-based dishes. Along the way, we’ll share practical tips, explain the why behind the methods, and show you how to get great results at home — whether you’re cooking for one or feeding a crowd.

During the class, you’ll:

  • Perfect classic techniques like poaching and making omelettes

  • Create comforting and crowd-pleasing dishes such as frittata and custard tart

  • Learn the basics of egg science, including how to choose quality eggs and cook them with confidence

You’ll leave with new skills, fresh ideas, and the confidence to make eggs a go-to ingredient in your everyday cooking — simple, satisfying, and full of potential.

Finding us: We’re at 47 Peffer Place, Edinburgh, EH16 4BB. Please arrive 10 minutes early if possible.

What to bring: Please bring tupperware to take home anything you cook, a notepad and pen if you’d like to take notes, and warm layers — it can get a little chilly in the kitchen.
