Join us at Edinburgh Food Social for two one-off sessions led by Christopher Valentine-Allan from SomeFunguys— gourmet mushroom farmer, forager, and private chef.
Christopher brings together years of experience in foraging, farming, and professional cooking to create beautiful, seasonal food that celebrates mushrooms in all their forms. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to prepare and cook a variety of Scottish mushrooms in ways that are flavour-packed, satisfying, and genuinely impressive.
This class is designed to change how you think about mushrooms. Whether you already love them or think they’re not for you, Christopher will share practical techniques, clever pairings, and approachable recipes that you can take home and use again and again.
As always, expect plenty of tasting, discussion, and hands-on cooking!
These class will take place on Saturday 28th March 2026.
Please be aware spaces are limited and may book up quickly!
What to bring: Please bring tupperware to take home anything you cook, a notepad and pen if you’d like to take notes, and warm layers — it can get a little chilly in the kitchen.
